| Description of the problem | Transmission shifts erratically. When stopping and starting at a stop sign, transmission may not engage, then engages with a hard bang into gear. Other times when slowing down and then trying to accelerate, transmission may not engage quickly enough. Transmission is dangerous as one does not know if the transmission will engage when needed, especially when needed to get out of the way of other vehicles. Car has been into jeep dealership 4 times, opened a case with jeep, told this is normal operation for the transmission. The transmission is getting worse and dangerous as you do not know how it will react. |
