| Description of the problem | While shifting at low speeds the vehicle continues to not select the correct gear in the power train / transmission. More often than not, when shifting from reverse to drive it selects 2nd or 3rd gear and when it doesn't move fast enough it slams into 1st. While in drive taking off from stop light for instance, the gears often start with 2nd or 3rd gear again and will not too often revert to 1st gear, it just allows for a very slow start. While visiting the dealership several times for this issue, the dealer / service person advises me it's a matter of time before the transmission / gears explode from this very issue and chrysler knows about the issues but continue to send out recall notices for fixes. |
