| Description of the problem | I took my car in to the dealer as a result of a software recall related to the transmission. The upgrade apparently has its own issues. Now the car will not downshift from 3rd to 2nd unless you absolutely floor the accelerator. Driving up hills is now a real problem. The car seems to have lost a lot of power in general, too. I looked online in jeep cherokee forums and it looks like a very common issue. |
