| Description of the problem | Transmission has been knocking very hard when i put it into drive. One day when i started my car in my driveway, the check engine light came on and a message stating "service transmission, place car into park then into desired gear." once i put the car into drive, it felt and sounded like my engine was going to jump out of the car. I tried to turn my car off and restart it, however, i had no success with that. I have had no issues at all with my driving up until this point. I bought my jeep in december 2013 and this issue occurred november 2017. I service my jeep on a regular basis and do not drive recklessly. This issue happened all of a sudden. A day before this happened, i did notice when turned my car on and put it in drive, the transmission did "knock" into gear a lot more aggressively than normal. |
