| Description of the problem | After receiving a recall notice, we had the transmission serviced at nw hills jeep in torrington, ct. On may 11. 2015. Friday, july 17 i was driving at about 25 miles an hour. With no notice, the car stopped dead in the road and put itself into park. I could not start or move the car in any way, the mechanic who towed it had to go under the gear lever and over ride the park button. I was on a quiet country road. If i had been merging onto a highway, it could have resulted in a fatal accident. At 25 mph, i had absolutely no control over the vehicle. |
