| Description of the problem | Cars shift bezel and jumper harness failed and had to be replaced. While driving the car, a message comes up that states service shifter and all the lights on the shifter light up. Dash display will not go back to normal until the vehicle is turned off and the system resets. The problem is sporadic and happens randomly but started occuring more frequently after jeep did a software patch related to another rebate in the last 60 days. Vehicle is less than 5 years old and i was told by dealership that they've seen this before and classified it as an electrical issues. It wasn't covered under warranty despite it being a failure of the electrical system and that there is no way that i could have actually damaged this part. |
