Description of the problem	2016 winnebago vista wfe30t, serial number 10e42u189473, built on 2016 ford f53 motorhome chassis: the owner's manual states the transmission tow haul feature, "provides engine braking in all forward gears, which will slow your vehicle and assist you in controlling your vehicle when descending a grade. Depending on driving conditions and load conditions, may downshift the transmission, slow your vehicle and control vehicle speed when descending a hill, without pressing the accelerator pedal. The amount of downshift braking provided will vary based upon the amount the brake pedal is pressed." i have descended several 8 percent grades with transmission in the tow haul mode while applying heavy manual braking and the transmission has never downshifted to apply engine braking. Failure of the transmission to perform as designed could lead to brake failure.
