Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2010 hyundai veracruz. The contact stated that while in reverse in the process of turning the vehicle around from a hill, the front passenger noticed that there was smoke coming from under the hood of the vehicle. Both the driver and front passenger exited the vehicle and within minutes there was a fire under the hood. The fire department extinguished. A police and fire report were filed. No injuries were sustained. He contact mentioned that due to the fire, the dashboard melted, rubber hoses burned, windshield fractured and the front seats melted. The vehicle at the time of the failure was near a campus dormitory and was towed to the campus parking lot where it remained. The dealer was not contacted. The national consumer affairs department called the contact and requested several information such as a copy of the title, copy of the current registration, inspection authorization form, owners drivers license, list of items lost in the fire, insurance adjusters name/phone number/claim number, and photos/video of the incident.
