| Description of the problem | The oil leak that has previously been reported caused the engine to run low on oil. Since there is a drip pan under the engine a consumer would have no way of knowing that their engine was severely leaking. If there is no oil in your parking spot and no sign of the car smoking a normal person would not check the oil with every tank of gas. This oil leak caused my alternator to fail in traffic, and since the engine ran low on oil i had a catastrophic engine failure ( threw a rod) at 126k. The oil leak causes long-term damage to the engine that hyundai refuses to acknowledge. |
