Description of the problem	Since the purchase of my vehicle in 2007, i have experienced a safety issue with the design of the headlight system of my 2007 veracruz. The low beams have a horizontal cutoff and do not adequately illuminate signs, etc. At a medium to near distance. The high beams do not illuminate the roadway at all and are aimed way too high. The problem is the headlights are designed so that they cannot be aimed separately. Therefore, an attempt to lower the high beams will result in a lowering of the low beams which compounds the problem with the low beams and vice-versa. After several visits to two different dealers, they finally removed the mechanism that binds the high and low beams together which has resulted in a partial improvement (the high beams can be lowered to the point where they are effective). The low beams, however, cannot be raised sufficiently to read signs because that results in a dim beam on the roadway.
