| Description of the problem | Oil drips from the engine onto alternator causing it to fail. Interim recall with interim repair given. Recall closed in 2015 with no permanent repair. This is my fourth alternator to go bad. With the last repair made under the campaign number 14v-415. The defect has not been repaired and the situation caused the engine to die suddenly putting the occupants in the car in danger. This last time the car died with my wife driving in the travel lane of route 9 south in howell nj. |
