Description of the problemEsc light came on, gear shift will not come out of park, drive or reverse unless gearshift release button is pushed. Esc light being on results in shifter not moving, no brake lights, no reverse light at any time. This recall was made in 2009 was repaired and the same issue has returned but hyundai will not fix it because the recall is closed. It is campaign 092 stop lamp replacement. This problem affects brakes and brake lights so while driving other drivers have no idea when you are stopping or slowing down. This is extremely dangerous. The fact that it has been recalled once fixed and is doing the same thing again should mean another recall and different fix for the vehicles. Hyundai was notified yet refuses to fix it because it has already been fixed once. We were told to have it fixed and we could possibly receive a refund. This issue is continuous and happens while parked, on the highway, and city streets.
