Description of the problem | Veloster turbo dct model. When the car isn't fully warmed up, the car suddenly loses power upon medium to hard acceleration. Pressing the accelerator increases engine revs and transmission actually shifts, but no power is being put to the wheels. You have to fully lift off the accelerator and then depress again to get power back. For example, accelerating to merge into freeway traffic is dangerous as it loses power as you are merging and could easily be rear ended. Or turning left across traffic, if the vehicle loses power mid turn you could be hit by oncoming traffic. Happens every time you have medium to hard acceleration when the vehicle isn't fully warmed up. Has happened too many times to number. There is video documentation on the internet of same problem. |
