Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2015 hyundai veloster. When the vehicle was placed in reverse, it went into neutral and did not immediately go back into drive. The contact stated that the vehicle changed gears by itself without warning. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer updated the computer. The failure recurred three days later and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer who then changed the gear shift actuator. The failure recurred within 24 hours and the vehicle was once again taken to the dealer. The dealer replaced the transmission. The failure recurred and the gear system was completely dislocated, unable to shift into reverse or drive. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer and provided the contact with a loaner vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and continued to check on the contact. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 2,900.
