Description of the problem	My trunk latch mecanisum broke and it was troubling to think that my purse or luggage was in it or i could not get to my meds or a spare tire in the event it was needed. There is no way to get into the locked trunk accept to take the entire back seat out unlike most cars where you can pull a latch on the back of the rear seat and bring the seat down. I have what is called the "smart trunk" that opens without the use of a key if you are standing in front of it. I had to put out just under $500. 00 to get into the trunk and repair the latch. I do hope that you can do a safety recall on the latch soon. This happened to me and i was not at home and i had to wait to get an appointment at the dealership to get it repaired.
