Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2017 hyundai sonata. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the vehicle began to shudder with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact managed to veer to the shoulder of the road, turn the vehicle off, get out the vehicle, and check as an abnormal odor appeared. The vehicle was towed to the dealer however while the vehicle was being towed, the tow driver informed the contact that evidence of flames were present under the hood. The vehicle was towed to the dealer sansone automall (90-100 route 1 n, avenel, nj 07001 (866) 328-3333) where it was diagnosed and determine that the rod bearings needed to be replaced. The engine was repaired however the failure recurred as the vehicle was taken back to the dealer for a second diagnosed test which determined the engine coolant cylinder failed. The contact mentioned nhtsa campaign number: 20v746000 (engine) as a possible solution to the failure however the vin and year of the vehicle was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however did not compromise a solution to the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
