Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2015 hyundai sonata. While the contact was pulling into the driveway with the brake pedal depressed, it independently accelerated without warning into a two-car garage. The contact attempted to stop the vehicle, but was unsuccessful. Prior to the failure, the vehicle surged forward without warning, but the contact was able to maintain control of the vehicle. During the second failure, the vehicle crashed through a double garage door and partially into a wall at the end of the garage. The air bags did not deploy. Police report number: 18-0018173 was filed. There no were injuries sustained. The vehicle was towed by the contact's insurance company to a facility for inspection purposes. The contact stated that the entire front end of the vehicle was damaged. It was undetermined as to whether or not the vehicle was destroyed. A dealer and the manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 41,000.
