| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2015 hyundai sonata. While attempting to stop the vehicle and depressing the brake pedal, the braking distance was extended and the brake pedal had to be forcefully depressed. During the failure, the steering wheel and brake pedal would shake and vibrate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the front brake rotors and brake pads needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but eventually the failure recurred. The contact indicated that the front rotors and brake pads were replaced on several occasions between 39,000 and 70,000 miles. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but the local dealer was not notified. The failure mileage was 39,000. |
