| Description of the problem | Performed oil changes at two different auto repair facilities within 4 day span. The reason for this is each service showed overfill on oil dipstick. Showed the service advisers at both facilities. I took vehicle to hyundai dealer and purchased a replacement oil level indicator as per vin. They say i had wrong dipstick for engine. Placed replacement dipstick in engine and showed hyundai service rep that oil level still showed overfill. I had them change oil and they showed me that replacement dipstick registered correct oil level. So, either this engine is operating ( 38000 miles) at under fill, overfill or proper fill level. Been using manufacturers oil viscosity recommendation (5w-20 and dealer used 5w-30 syn/bld). |
