Description of the problem	The vehicle does not always start when turning the key. I recently had this problem and had the battery replaced, thinking the old battery was going bad. However, the problem persisted. Something that seems to help is changing from the parking position to the drive gear, and then immediately switching back to park, all while stepping on the brake. Then the car will start up. So it seems that the car computer does not always correctly recognize the gear that the vehicle is in. The problem persists sporadically.
