| Description of the problem | Headlights go off when using turn signal. Vehicle does not have to be in motion for this to occur. When this happens, inside dash lights will usually be brighter - the same as when the headlight switch is in the off position. This presents a great risk for nighttime driving. Not only are you without exterior lighting, but you are also blinded from the sudden change of interior lighting. I believe the faulty part is the multifunction switch because it can be tapped or quickly turned off and back on to get the headlights to come back on. Sometimes the turn signal does not even need to be activated for the headlights to turn off - only touched. It mostly occurs when signaling to turn left. |
