| Description of the problem | Hyundai sonata engine failure. I was driving and my car stalled in the middle of the road. I put it in park and put my hazards on. I proceeded to start the car and when i did, the car caught on fire. Smelled like wires on fire. Hyundai was notified and my car was towed and fixed at the dealership. It took about 6 weeks to fix. To my disappoinment, hyundai is only offering 12k miles or one year warranty. This car has had several recalls and i have brought it to the dealer for every one of them. I spent 30k on this car (hyundai sonata 2. 0t) love the look of it but not reliable. I have sent them a letter to ask for a better warranty on the "new" engine they replaced. |
