| Description of the problem | The problem started with external light bulbs going out. Had to replace 4 in the matter of couple months. Smell of burning rubber (thought it was gas) , radio restarting automatically. One day was driving down a road, all the sensors started flickering, the vehicle lost power, engine shut off ,came to a stop. I managed to restart the vehicle in couple minutes and drive it the nearest shop. Happened at 78 k miles. The shop said they cannot fix this problem, had to take it the dealership where it is now. Will take a week to fix and well over a thousand dollars in cost. Absolutely unacceptable electrical issue in such a young vehicle, hyundai needs to take responsibility and have a recall. Looks like its a very common issue in this model. |
