Description of the problem	We noticed a knocking sound coming from the engine a short time ago. I called paterson hyundai in altoona pa to make an appointment for them to check it out. We were scheduled for over a week later. I took the car to jiffy lube for an oil change yesterday and after leaving there the noise got louder and the car started making screeching noise. The check engine light was on. I decided to drive it to paterson hyundai which was only a few miles away. I made it within a mile of the garage and the car shut down. All of the dash lights came on and i had to drift to the right shoulder of a heavily traveled highway. I waited a few minutes to try to start the car. It would not turn over. I called aaa and had the car towed to paterson hyundai. I talked to the service guy this morning and he said the would try to get it into the shop today. He also said he would check for recalls on the car. We haven't heard from them at all today. I checked the recalls and found one issued for motor problems on my vin number. We never received notification of the recall. We are the second owners of the vehicle.
