Description of the problem	Engine failed: loud noise, rattling sound, inability to accelerate beyond 45mph. Two shops we took it to diagnosed as engine failed, replace engine ... Based on compression test, stethoscope to engine, etc. The car was being driven on a highway, when the noise started, lack of acceleration was felt, driver pulled off the highway, and drove slowly up to a nearby parking lot. We actually drove 12 miles on city streets to a mechanic shop we knew who gave the first diagnosis.
