| Description of the problem | While driving down the highway at 55 mph a warning for the hybrid system appeared on the middle screen between the gauges along with an audible chime instructing to safely pull over and stop the car. After pulling over and turning off the car i was unable to restart the vehicle. Display stated the hybrid battery was low and not to start the engine. After having the car towed to the dealer, the dealer stated the engine was seized. The car had been serviced as recommended since purchase. I am the original owner. There were no warning signs of complete engine failure. I have since learned that hyundai sonata had a recall for engine failures, but my model was not included. |
