Description of the problem	This week my vehicle experienced a fuel line crack where the low pressure fuel pump connects to the direct injection fuel pump. The smell of gas was evident within the cabin while both stationary and in motion, and i could see vapor rising from the proximal portion of the hood while sitting in the driver's seat. The gas leak could be visualized upon starting the car. Upon opening the hood, i noted the gas leak around the cracked plastic connection. The fuel line was the original genuine hyundai part. The hyundai dealership replaced it with a superior (non-plastic) fuel line. The lack of quality in the original fuel line is concerning because it placed my family directly at risk to experience a dangerous and possibly fatal fire. It appears that the hyundai dealership was also aware of this problem with the original line which is why they replaced it with a different part. However, there is no current recall campaign for this unsafe scenario.
