Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2011 hyundai sonata. While driving 80 mph, the contact noticed that the steering wheel began to shake very aggressively and made a slow, rattling sound. The contact slowed the vehicle down to approximately 75 mph and the rattling sound and shaking of the steering wheel ceased. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (glick gmc, 48 bridgeville rd, monticello, ny 12701) where it was diagnosed that the steering gear assembly and torque failed and needed to be repaired. The vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 10v426000 (steering). The vehicle was not repaired due to the repair cost. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 138,000.
