Description of the problem	I recently took my vehicle back to hyundai in newport news, va and was told because my vehicle is out of warranty that i would have to pay over $500 to have my steering coupling replaced when i first brought this to their attention in 2010-2011. My car was build in may 2010 and falls under the safety recall but because my vin was not part of the recall i am not covered which is unacceptable and should not hinder the life of myself or my daughter. I hear cranking and ticking every time i turn my wheel and i have to drive extra careful due to fear of my steering wheel becoming locked. This is unacceptable and unsafe. I contacted hyundai motor america and they said i can pay upfront and file a claim for reimbursement that takes 4-6 weeks to approve or deny based on what they feel i should receive if i receive anything at all. We spend thousands of dollars in repairs only to be let down by this company.
