| Description of the problem | The transmission temperature sensor (and/or associated wireless harness) failed. We had this happen to two 2011 hyundai sonatas in a 4-week span (this one a 6-cylinder, the other a 4-cylinder with 15,500 miles on it). That caught our attention, prompted us to report it. This one mimicked a hesitate & surge. The other one did that, then became undrivable. Dealers replaced under warranty in both cases. |
