Description of the problem	Tl* takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 hyundai sonata. While the contact was approaching a yellow traffic light, the preceding vehicle accelerated and then made a sudden stop. As a result, the contact rear ended the other vehicle while driving 55 mph. None of the air bags deployed. The contact's head struck the steering wheel upon impact. The contact sustained pain to the knees, elbows, and minor bruising. Medical attention was required. A police report was filed. The insurance company repaired the collision damages, but there was no investigation as to why the air bags failed to deploy. Months later, the air bag indicator illuminated and, a few days later, the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v152000 (seat belts). The dealer was to schedule an appointment and indicated that the contact would need to have a diagnosis prior to the recall repair. The manufacturer was later notified of the crash and recently stated that the notice was received after the crash; therefore, the contact was waiting to determine if the manufacturer would assist. The failure mileage was not available. Parts distribution disconnect.
