| Description of the problem | Right rear brake pads froze in the pad mounting bracket and wore down prematurely causing metal to metal contact between the brake pad backing plate and the brake rotor. Both my local dealer (suresky hyundai of goshen ny) and hyundai motor company refused to repair my vehicle under warranty. They asserted that "normal maintenance items", such as brake pads and rotors, were only covered for 12 months/12,000 miles. With all due respect, brake pads seizing on one wheel while the other 3 wheels are fine is not a normal maintenance event! |
