| Description of the problem | I bought my 2007 hyundai sonata used at carmax in 2007. Within one month, the drivers side sun visor had broken. Because the car was under warranty, it was repaired without cost. Now, over the past month, the passenger side sun visor has begun broken as well. Because my car is over the 60k point, the local hyundai dealership where the 1st visor repair was made, says it will be a $150 repair cost. I also called hyundai usa- they claim there was no recall on this defect. I had a nissan sentra for 13 years, and i never had to replace the sun visors. There is obviously a safety issue with these visors, because i have seen several other complaints on the internet for the same issue. I hope that nhtsa will investigate this complaint and all the others and issue a ruling in favor of sonata owners. |
