| Description of the problem | This has happened to us on multiple, intermittent occasions. When decelerating while exiting a highway, the steering wheel "sticks" in the straight-ahead position. It becomes very difficult to turn to the right to navigate a highway exit that curves to the right. You have to fight with the wheel and pull hard to make it turn, at which point it feels like the wheel "unlocks" and turns freely again. This is very unsafe. We have had our mechanic inspect it more than once and because the issue is intermittent, they haven't been able to find anything wrong. I've searched online and found several other hyundai owners telling tales of similar occurrences of this problem. |
