| Description of the problem | 2006 hyundai sonata bought in 07. Floppy drivers side visor was replaced as it would not stay up. Now both drivers and passengers side are floppy. Obviously a design flaw and should be recalled. This is definitely a safety issue as the visors when flopped down block the drivers vision! There are many other similar complaints easily located on the internet by searching for 'sonata visor.' apparently hyundai has not yet offered to fix this problem, nor recognize it as a significant defect. What will it take someone getting killed before this becomes "important" enough?? This has now occurred twice - first repair was 2007. Now both visors are defective to the point where my teenage daughter (who drives the car) has asked for the visors to be removed (i will probably attempt a temporary fix with velcro). |
