 Description of the problemTl* the contact owns a 2006 hyundai sonata. While driving approximately 25 mph, the contact heard an unknown noise coming from the vehicle. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and noticed that the rear driver's side wheel was tilted. While the vehicle was in front of an independent mechanic shop, a technician inspected the vehicle and informed the contact that the crossmember detached and the vehicle needed to be taken to a hyundai dealer. The vehicle was towed to autofair hyundai (1477 s willow st, manchester, nh 03103, (603) 634-0635) where it was diagnosed that the crossmember detached and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 13v354000 (suspension). The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 247,000.
