Description of the problem	Brought car into dealer as engine light was on. Dealer explained to me that i needed a new gas cap ($200). Did not fix problem and when returned to dealership i was told that i needed to replace the gas tank as it was rotted. I had owned the vehicle for a year but how does a 6 year old car have a rotted gas tank? Dealership (balise toyota, springfield, ma) claimed "well that is new england for ya". I am over 70 years old and have owned a number of cars in new england over the years, none of which have ever had a rotted gas tank.
