Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owned a 2006 hyundai sonata. While driving 55 mph, the contact's vehicle was rear ended by another vehicle. As a result, the contact's vehicle left the roadway, entered the woods, and spun around several times. The air bags failed to deploy. There were no warning indicators illuminated prior to the crash. The contact sustained neck, lower back, and head injuries that required medical attention. The contact was unaware of injuries in the other vehicle. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot where it was deemed destroyed. The vehicle was not inspected to determine why the air bags failed to deploy. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
