Description of the problem	Engine has around 89k miles. Began with a knocking noise and after taking it to the dealership we were advised it "needed a new engine." dealer was not specific as to what exactly the issue was, but i believe the same issue that affected the hyundai sonata and santa fe sport is also affecting this vehicle. Because we are the second owners, hyundai has refused to provide us any assistance. After picking it up from the hyundai dealership, we attempted to drive to another company's dealership to initiate a trade in. While driving on the interstate, the vehicle degraded in power and died on the busy roadway just off the interstate off ramp. My wife had to push the santa fe using my car to get it off the roadway to a gas station parking lot. The engine does now turn on, but anytime it is put in gear it dies. Engine is completely useless. We always perform routine regular maintenance on our cars and this vehicle has not been abused in any way. Was purchased in 2016 with roughly 45k miles on it.
