| Description of the problem | While driving the vehicle at highway speed approx. 60mph engine began to make a knocking sound in the engine bay. Had the vehicle towed to the nearest hyundai dealer and began filing a complaint to hyundai usa. After 2 weeks of the vehicle sitting there and no word back i called the dealer to find out if it had been diagnosed. No one had looked at it! Next day we got a call stating motor was blown up and a cost to repair would be $15,720!!!!! This vehicle was and has been very well maintained with regular oil changes etc. ( verified by dealer oil level was good ) oil light was not on nor did any warning lights illuminate during any of this. This is our second hyundai that we have owned with an engine failure ( last vehicle had been recalled for engine. ) and this will be our last hyundai. |
