| Description of the problem | Driving down the road and the engine completely shut off without warning and there was no warning lights on the dashboard. Figured it was the alternator, changed it out and now the car makes a very loud clicking noise. Had it diagnosed and it needs new lifters along with possible machining of the pistons/head to get them smooth and the mechanic stated the car was a few hundred revolutions from seizing. Additionally there were small metal shavings in the oil when changed, was told it was a top end problem (hence the lifters).
