Description of the problem	Passenger front door handle snapped free when attempting to open. The rear plastic retaining cap failed prematurely on a seldomly used door. The failure resulted in the door not being able to be opened from the outside. If this occurred during an emergency situation where the front passenger was incapacitated and needed rapid extraction it is probable the passenger would wind up a fatality.
