Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2012 hyundai genesis. While driving 35 mph, the brake pedal had to be depressed to the floorboard and the vehicle eventually stopped. At every stop, the contact had to pump the brake pedal to build up the pressure. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (nalley hyundai, 7909 mall pkwy, lithonia,ga, 30038) where it was diagnosed that the hydraulic electronic control unit failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who confirmed the same failure and informed the contact of the recall. The mechanic recommended the contact go back to the dealer. The dealer confirmed that there was a recall per nhtsa campaign number: 13v489000 (service brakes); however, the vehicle was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not reference the recall. Due to the warranty and because the vehicle exceeded the mileage, the repair would not be covered. The failure mileage was approximately 77,175.
