Description of the problemThe rear center seat belt anchor and the left seat belt anchor are reversed. When one passenger fastens their seat belt it covers the anchor point for the other passenger. The only way to connect both is to twist the seat belts across each other. In the event of an accident, the applied forces would not be in line with the seat belt anchor points and would most likely not conform to the intended designs parameters. This also causes the seat belts to go across my grand childrens necks when they are in the back seat in their booster seats which would cause them serious harm in a accident. The hyundai dealer has looked at the problem and agrees that the anchor points are backwards but they said that it cannot be reversed due to the way the car is designed.
