| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2011 hyundai genesis. While driving approximately 25 mph, the cruise control erroneously activated and could not be turned off. While depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle would slow down but the cruise control would not deactivate. After switching the transmission to neutral, the rpms immediately increased to 5,000. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the cruise control module failed and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,300. |
