Description of the problem	While driving my genesis 2010 sedan, the battery light illuminated, then the power steering did not respond. I was about 1/2 miles from my house and i had to wrestle with my steering wheel until i got home. The scary part was that i unexpectedly lost power steering during a turn at the traffic light. Luckily, no on coming traffic was near as i completed the turn on the opposite slide of the street. I fortunately arrive home, parked the vehicle and had it towed to the mechanics. I learned that the alternator went out and so did the battery. Luckly, during the turn i did not crash, but it was very nervous the rest of the way.
