| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2010 hyundai genesis. While driving 40 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and took a greater distance to stop the vehicle. The contact had to depress the brake pedal multiple times in order to get the vehicle to stop. The vehcile was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to diagnose or repair the vehicle. The failure recurred and the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the hydraulic electronic control unit (hecu) needed to be replaced. The vehcile was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was previously repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 13v489000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The failure mileage was 38,000. |
