| Description of the problem | While driving at 65 mph, the check engine light and the esc light both came on and the car would not accelerate. Pressing on the gas pedal had no effect. I pulled over and restarted the car. The check engine light came on but not the esc light. The car ran a bit rough with the check engine light on. The exact same thing happened the next day. I took the car to the dealer, and they replaced the throttle position sensor. Based on owner reports at the genesis owners web site, this has happened to many owners of 2009 v6 hyundai genesis. This is very dangerous, and the car should be recalled to fix this potential deadly situation. If i had been driving in the left lane of a highway, a serious accident with potential deaths could have happened. |
