| Description of the problem | The power steering failed suddenly and catastrophically while driving in the parking lot. The steering wheel became hard to turn at any range of speed. The vehicle was examined by the dealership mechanic and i was informed the power steering pump had failed. After some brief research, it seems to be a known amd documented problem. I am awaiting repair(s) and extended warranty authorization as my car is no longer covered by the limited warranty and the power steering is not covered by the power train warranty. This is a costly repair that should be done at the manufacturer's cost under formal recall. |
