| Description of the problem | For the fifth time i am having an oxygen sensor replaced on my genesis (the vehicle has 4). The symptom has been a "check engine light" that results in an intermittent, occasional problem when stopped and idling. The engine light starts to flash, the engine begins to idle very roughly, and there's barely enough power to creep through the intersection. This condition clears up pretty quickly but the light remains on. The flashing light/rough idle/loss of power recurs. The problem has occurred requiring an oxygen sensor change five times starting in mid-2016 at around 100,000 miles. |
